How many treatments will I need and how often?

The amount of treatments you have is entirely up to you.  Some clients experience an immediate benefit after the first treatment, where for others it could take several consecutive treatments for effects to be felt.  If you are having a treatment for a specific ailment then weekly appointments might be advisable to start with.  If you aim is relaxation and general well being then monthly treatments might be more suitable.  This can all be discussed at the end of your first consultation.

Will a treatment hurt?

Most people find treatment very soothing and relaxing.  However, particular areas of congestion may be tender and the pressure will be adjusted accordingly.

I’m pregnant – can I still have a treatment?

Whilst there is no suggestion that Reflexology or Massage can be harmful once past the 1st trimester,  I am not currently trained in pregnancy treatments so would not be able to treat you.

Are there any side effects?

Generally there are no side effects apart from perhaps feeling relaxed and sleepy.  Some clients will notice feeling more thirsty and it is a good idea to drink plenty of water before and after a treatment.

Can I still have a Reflexology treatment if I have corns, callouses, bunions, verrucas, or athletes foot ?

Treatment can be given around corns, callouses and bunions.  Verrucas will need to be covered to avoid the spread of infection.  I would be unable to treat your feet if you have Athletes Foot but can treat your hands instead.
